It’s been a year since Disney announced a major reconstruction of the Central Plaza, aka. the hub, which is the area between the end of Main Street and Cinderella Castle. The planned enhancements of the hub area include sculpted gardens, additional pathways, expanded restaurant seating and even special viewing areas for the nighttime fireworks and other performances.

The hub area across the street from Casey’s Corner and Crystal Palace, Main Street Plaza Gardens, recently had its construction walls taken down giving us a better look at the new updates to the area. Plants, trees, a fountain and a firework viewing sign are just some of the things that have been recently added. The new hub area is planned to open in February 2015.

The east hub area is also coming along quite nicely and as you can see both sides of the hub will include a fountain.
