At The Walt Disney Company Annual Meeting of Shareholders today Disney CEO Bob Iger debuted a first look at a new 3D model of Shanghai Disneyland, featuring Disney’s biggest-ever theme park castle called the Enchanted Storybook Castle, which will feature a ride inside.
Little has been revealed from Shanghai Disneyland, though Iger noted that a complete 3D model of the park has been built by Walt Disney Imagineers. The park will not feature a traditional Main Street USA, instead having an 11-acre garden and water area welcoming guests in.
The rendering also features a carousel to the right, Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride to the left, and large Christmas tree near the hub.
The model also appears to show the Storytellers statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse that was added to Disney California Adventure on Buena Vista Street last year.
Shanghai Disneyland will open as part of Shanghai Disney Resort in late 2015, including two themed hotels, dining, entertainment and more.
