WHAT IF: More gender bending in stunningly dreamy Disney artwork

in Artwork, Disney, Movies

At the risk of being repetitive, today’s Disney-inspired “what if” artwork returns to gender bending of famous animated characters. The last set showed Disney’s villains with swapped genders. This time, it’s a sampling of artwork that makes these genderbent characters seem so natural that it’s hard to imagine they weren’t designed like this in the first place.

Artist Sakimi Chan draws characters with stunning color and an overall dreamy quality. Disney works include Maleficent, Elsa, Pocahontas, Cruella, Hades, Ariel, and Jack and Sally from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” all drawn as the opposite sex. The results are magnificent.

I would love to see any or all of these cosplayed, particularly Jack and Sally.

But this excellent artwork doesn’t stop at gender bending, also featuring other Disney characters like Jessica Rabbit and Sora from the “Kingdom Hearts” series along with Ariel who seems to have added headphones to her collection of thingamabobs.
