Halloween fans in Southern California must mark their calendars for the return of ScareLA, a new convention celebrating haunted attractions.

Last year’s debut event overlapped with Disney’s D23 Expo, making it impossible for theme park junkees to see both. Yet it still managed to attract more than 4,000 passionate Halloween fans, professionals and members of the media.

This year ScareLA stands on its own, bringing even more eerie entertainment to downtown Los Angeles on August 9 and 10, 2014 at The Reef (formerly known as LA Mart).

The event celebrates the West Coast’s Halloween, haunt, and horror community and fans with exclusive presentations, industry panels, hands-on workshops, onsite attractions and an exhibitor show floor.

The convention’s lineup of presentations will feature sneak previews and behind-the-scenes looks at the most anticipated Halloween events in the region including Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror NightsKnott’s Halloween HauntLos Angeles Haunted HayrideThe Great Horror CampoutThe Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor and more than 30 of the top scare attractions in the Southwest.

In addition, ScareLA focuses on engaging attendees with interactive and educational experiences with the nation’s best haunt and horror professionals and artists in hands-on workshops, demonstrations and classes including make-up, costuming, pumpkin carving, and Halloween party tips.

Limited-time presale tickets are now available for purchase on the convention’s website, with a 30% savings available using code PRESCARE.  To purchase tickets, for more information, and exhibitor inquiries, visit www.scarela.com.

The event is produced in partnership by CreepyLAGENIEEffect andTheme Park Adventure, with national-level support from of the best makers, Halloween artists, haunt pros, haunted attraction owners and operators.

We’ll be covering all the terror-ific fun at ScareLA and hope to see you there.
