in Food

We just saw the grand opening of  the Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and Sea Life Aquarium at the new I-Drive 360 Entertainment complex last week. Later this May I-Drive 360 will have another grand opening with the new restaurant and retail shop ‘Sugar Factory American Brasserie’.

The Sugar Factory restaurant chain debuted in Las Vegas 2009 and now has restaurants in locations like NYC, Chicago and Miami and is incredibly popular with celebrities and guests alike. Now it’s Orlando’s turn to get in on the trendy sweet treat location with a 8,000-square-foot restaurant featuring a main dining room, patio, walk-up window serving Sugar Factory’s frozen favorites. There will also be an accompanying retail shop that will include an ice cream and coffee counter.

The menu will be created by a team of world-class chefs and will include everything from pancakes and sweet and savory crepes to salads, burgers and pizzas.  Some of the classics like the Sugar Factory signature burger with crispy onions, house-made sauce, lettuce and cheese and the filet mignon served with bearnaise aioli and pommes frites will of course also be on the menu.

Sugar Factory Orlando will also feature a nice cocktail menu were premium spirits are blended with sweet treats into Sugar Factory’s signature 60-ounce alcohol-infused smoking candy goblet drinks.

So what about desserts? One of the things Sugar Factory is most famous for is their legendary dessert selection and the Orlando restaurant will have plenty of those. Like the King Kong Sundae that is a huge dessert for sharing with 24 scoops of ice cream, sprinkles, caramel sauce, fudge sauce, strawberry sauce, marshmallows, Reese’s Pieces, chocolate chip cookies, crushed waffle cones, gummy bears, white chocolate strawberry shavings, sliced bananas, toasted walnuts, whipped cream and topped off with giant swirly pops. Another sweet treat is the renowned Sugar Factory brunch that features decadent selections like red velvet pancakes topped with white chocolate chunks, apple pie waffles topped with roasted apples and s’mores crepes.

Before you leave the new Sugar Factory Orlando you also must make a stop in at the retail store where you can find the world-famous sparkly Couture Pops made popular by celebrities like Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian. Kylie and Kendall Jenner just debuted their own signature Couture Pops just a few months ago: the Black Diamond and Gray Sparkle.

Sugar Factory American Brasserie at I-Drive 360 will be open daily for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to close and brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Opening is planned for late May.
