VIDEO: Birthday Cake Sand Sculpture created to celebrate Aquatica Orlando’s 10th anniversary

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Aquatica, SeaWorld Orlando’s Waterpark, and they’re celebrating with a massive sand sculpture birthday cake.

The 22-ton sculpture is inspired by Aquatica’s latest attraction, Ray Rush. Measuring 15′ wide and 8′ tall, the sculpture took skilled artisans almost 25 hours to complete. The beachy birthday cake will be on display in the park through March 5.

Since opening on March 1, 2008, Aquatica has become a staple among Orlando water parks and ranks as one of the best water parks in the United States.

Opening in the spring, the new Ray Rush attraction combines three unique slide elements never before seen at Aquatica for one action-packed family ride.

The park is also celebrating with a discount on Annual Passes. Through March 15, Florida residents can purchase an Annual Pass to Aquatica for just $10 a month with EZpay. Aquatica Pass Members enjoy unlimited admission and free parking as well as discounts and the opportunity to be among the first to ride Ray Rush when it opens in spring 2018. The park is also offering guests the opportunity to purchase 6” x 8” photos in the park for just $10 through the end of April.
