Last weekend, high school students from the Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers program joined a group of volunteers to help build a new Disney-sponsored KaBOOM! playground at Pearson Park in Anaheim, California.

The new playground is the 10th Disney-sponsored KaBOOM! in Anaheim and 80th nationwide. It is designed after children’s drawings in the neighborhood.

“It is such a thrill to see our Dreamers and Doers working side-by-side with our team of Disney VoluntEARS for this event,” said Michael Colglazier, president of the Disneyland Resort. “These two programs bring out the best in our cast and our community, and leave a lasting impression on our neighborhoods.”

It took Disney, KaBOOM!, Anaheim Family YMCA, the city of Anaheim and community volunteers just six hours to build the new playground.
