After taking over the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, The Muppets are heading across the pond for a show in London.
“The Muppets Take The O2” is the first ever full-length live show in Europe for the beloved Muppets crew. Based on their hit 1980s variety show, Kermit the Frog leads his all-star cast and some very special guests. You have two chances to see The Muppets take over The O2 arena: Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14.
“We’ve wanted to do a show like this for a long time, and now—after finally getting all Miss Piggy’s luggage through customs—we have the chance to appear live at The O2 arena!,” said Kermit the Frog. “There’ll be music, comedy, incredible surprises, plus total and complete chaos. In other words: It’s the Muppets! Yaaaay!”
Here’s more of the official event description from The O2 website: “Highlights of the show include the fabulous Miss Piggy in a show-stopping musical extravaganza, a rocking musical jam by The Muppets’ legendary house band Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, with legendary drummer Animal. Plus the debut of all-new original chapters of those classic Muppet Show sketches – Pigs in Space, Veterinarian’s Hospital and Muppet Labs and many, many more extraordinary surprises.”
The O2 is also rolling out a green carpet for a weekend of special events during the show, including Muppet movies, street food, costume competitions, and live music.
Tickets for “The Muppets Take The O2” go on sale Wednesday, February 28 at 9:00 AM. To purchase, visit The O2 website.
