Pennsyvlania’s Sesame Place is set to open its first wooden-steel hybrid coaster next year.
“Oscar’s Wacky Taxi” is a family-friendly coaster featuring the famously grouchy “Sesame Street” resident behind the wheel of a taxi. Riders are sent down a 40-foot drop and twist and turn over 1,200 feet of track. This will be the first coaster installed in the park since Super Grover’s Vapor Trail in 1998.

“Sesame Place” is currently the only Sesame Street-themed park in North America. The 14-acre park includes two themed lands: Elmo’s World and Cookie’s Monster Land. In addition, it’s home to a variety of rides, water attractions, interactive play, and daily character shows.
