For the umpteenth time: “Good news, everyone!” Everyone’s favorite animated sitcom set one thousand years in the future is returning– yet again– for an all-new scripted radio drama episode to be broadcast on Chris Hardwick‘s “Nerdist” comedy podcast.

UPDATED 9/14 – LISTEN TO THE FULL EPISODE NOW:

“Futurama” originally ran from 1999 through 2003 on the FOX Network, before being revived for four direct-to-DVD feature-length movies in 2008, and then coming back once more as a TV series for a four-year run on Comedy Central. Earlier this year the cult hit was resurrected as a mobile game entitled “Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow,” and now we’ve got another reunion to look forward to.

The new episode will star the original “Futurama” voice cast (including Billy West, John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal, Phil LaMarr, Lauren Tom, Maurice LaMarche, David Herman, and Tress MacNeille) and was written by the show’s original creative team, with input from co-creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen.

“Futurama: Radiorama” will make its debut this Thursday, September 14th on “The Nerdist Podcast.”
