We’re all familiar with the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and friends, but the new film “Goodbye Christopher Robin” offers a rare glimpse at author A.A. Milne, his wife Daphne, and their son who inspired the beloved children’s books.

The film follows Milne after WWI as he begins writing books based on Christopher Robin and his toys. The stories, being a massive success that bring hope and comfort to the families of England, put a spotlight on his son and force the family to question the true purpose of the tales. “Are we writing a book,” Christopher Robin asks. “I thought we were just having fun.”
