Walt Disney World announces premium parking spots at Disney Springs

Walt Disney World announced today (via Twitter) that starting June 1 guests can purchase a preferred parking space at Disney Springs for $10.

These new “preferred” spots are located in the Lemon lot (near the World of Disney Store) and the Grapefruit lot (on the West End side).

It isn’t yet clear why these spots are “preferred” when they are located on extreme ends of the entertainment district as opposed to the more central location of the Orange and Lime parking garages, other than being in level lots with no elevators, escalators or ramps required.

Whatever the reason, parking in these locations will soon be designated as “preferred parking.”

Leave us your thoughts on this new change coming to Disney Springs, and tell us why you think these new locations are worthy of our money.
