After being a powerhouse in the mainstream movie industry with mega-hits such as “The Avengers,” “Spider-Man and “Guardians of the Galaxy,” the comic book company will now be moving into the world of video gaming.

In an interview with Gamespot, it was stated by Jay Ong, senior vice president of games and innovation at Marvel that the company is currently working on VR projects.

Ong went on to say, “Absolutely expect some announcements in VR.” “That’s something we’re really excited about. I think our fans are going to go crazy. The things we’re doing there are absolutely amazing.”

As Marvel starts its journey into the VR world, it will be a sight to see given the company’s successful track record with mainstream movie creation. With Marvel’s size and economic resources, the company could potentially revolutionize VR experiences, bringing the technology to an all-time high.

What VR experiences Marvel specifically has in store for us is anyone’s guess right now. Head over to Gamespot for the rest of the story.
