Debuting in a few short weeks, the new fireworks spectacular, “Happily Ever After,” is nearly ready to make it’s debut at the Magic Kingdom. In anticipation of the exciting reveal, Disney has given us a peek at the recording session of its musical score.
This score is one that is meant to take guests on an emotional journey as they follow a collection of Disney characters that are in pursuit of a dream. Bringing some classic Disney tunes to an orchestral piece that pulls the listener through a full gamut of emotion, 75 instrumentalists found the diverse range of styles and genres slightly challenging. Ultimately, though, the directors of the show say that it came together in an incredible way that will capture its audience and imprint on its heart.
“Music is truly at the heart of everything,” said Michael Jung, Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “It’s the script, it’s the emotion, it’s the thing that guides us through the show.”
“Happily Ever After” will be debut at the Magic Kingdom on May 12.
