SeaWorld San Diego is working steadily to transition its killer whale shows into the new Orca Encounter, set to debut this summer. Meanwhile, guests may continue to sit in on presentations that educate them about the physiology, intelligence, and capabilities of the orca species.
On a daily basis, these killer whale presentations will be given around the orca underwater viewing area pool. Temporary seating has been provided, and guests will be able to not only hear about the lives of orcas but also husbandry practices and trainer interactions. Most notably, a demonstration of an actual training session for the whales will be given.
The presentations are held multiple times daily with a schedule posted online at SeaWorld San Diego and in the park maps.
