Since the summer of 2013, ScareLA has been spooking Southern California horror aficionados and haunt industry professionals alike as the “first fan convention dedicated to celebrating Halloween.” Previously housed at the Pasadena Convention Center, the event revealed today that it is expanding the size of the show and upgrading to a larger venue after a record year.
“We are brewing up an incredible mix of entertainment, and preparing for what is sure to be our biggest and best year yet. We are thrilled to welcome fans to our new home at the Los Angeles Convention Center, our city’s premier event venue,” announced Lora Ivanova, Executive Producer and Founder of ScareLA .
The theme for the 2017 iteration of ScareLA will be “Monsters Come Together”, designed to celebrated diversity and tolerance among Halloween fans. An official press release issued this morning noted:
The convention aims to build and strengthen community ties across diverse groups, backgrounds and interests, all united around the love for Halloween and creative expression.
ScareLA 2017 will take place August 5th and 6th at the L.A. Convention Center in Downtown Los Angeles. Be sure to visit the event’s official website for more information and advance ticketing resources.
