Last night, on the Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon announced that the brand new attraction Race through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon will have a grand opening date of Thursday April 6th.  The Tonight Show will be taping shows at the park April 3-6.

Fallon described the 3D motion simulator ride as a trip to the show (complete with red seats, Higgins’ announcements, and the Roots): After challenging guests to a go-kart race through New York City, the audience is whisked around the city with visits to the Statue of Liberty, the subway, the East River (prepare to get wet), and even a stop at a local pizzeria (with the aroma pizza to add to the experience).  Fireworks and a trip to the moon are also part of the adventure.  A giant I-Max screen, moving seats and blowing wind create the excitement of motion during the race.

Universal Orlando also notes the new attraction will be the first to include a”Virtual Line experience,” meaning no waiting in a long queue for you. Instead guests can use the Universal Orlando Resort App or kiosks outside the attraction to “virtually wait in line” while taking in the rest of the park.
