Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs is readying itself for its grand opening, announced for early 2017. As we get ever closer, we continue to get peeks at some of the yummy dishes promised to feature on the menu. Let’s take a look!

LA LASAGNA

A classic staple at the family dinner table has been re-imagined as a fried entrée with Bolognese sauce, roasted garlic cream and tomato basil sauce.

BACON MAC N CHEESE BURGERplanet-hollywood-mac-n-cheese-burger

A burger half the size of your head with layers of fried onions, macaroni and cheese, a beef patty and Guy Fieri’s signature Donkey Sauce on a garlic-buttered brioche bun will delight your tastebuds…if you can get it in your mouth.

LOBSTER FEAST FRA DIAVOLO

planet-hollywood-6

Spaghetti served up via lobster shell brings a little sophisticated fun to the table.

HIGH ROLLER PLATTER

A colorful combination of chicken crunch, tostados, buffalo wings, cheesy spinach dip, and peri-peri shrimp comes in portions big enough for the entire table.

NEW YORK STRIP STEAK

10-oz. of juicy goodness with the bone still in can be served with a whole steamed lobster upon request.

CITRUS KALE SALAD

planet-hollywood-5

Julienned broccoli, slivered brussels sprouts and cabbage, feta, grapefruit, oranges, cranberries and sunflower seeds with citrus-agave dressing and a kale base provides a healthy choice.

SPINACH AND BERRIES SALAD

Another healthy option that combines candied walnuts, blue cheese crumbles and balsamic vinaigrette with spinach and berries for the conscientious guest.

WORLD FAMOUS CHICKEN CRUNCH

Fried chicken served up with a Creole mustard sauce inside a unique chicken-shaped basket is a “clucky” choice.

SIGNATURE MILKSHAKES

Chocolate Comet and Strawberry Borealis are only a couple of the names that catch our attention. The complete menu of signature milkshakes, though, extends beyond dessert options and into the territory of “ethereal experience.” Blind tastings of 12 house-made ice cream and sorbet flavors is also on the table for adventurous guests. However, the Planet Melt Down–described as “a chocolate hardshell dome that’s melted tableside with hot chocolate sauce to reveal double chocolate fudge cake, fresh strawberries and whipped cream”–sounds like it is from another realm.

For beverages, the restaurant will be serving a number of Florida craft beers and signature cocktails–some of which will come in unique souvenir glasses. Think Hailey’s Comet Cocktail in a 45-oz. “Planet-bowl.”
