Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to host 2016 Sesame Street ‘Safari of Fun’ Halloween event

There’s no shortage of Halloween-themed events at theme parks every year but parents have another solid family option this year with Busch Gardens Tampa Bay hosting Sesame Street Kids’ Weekends this October, a “kid-centered Halloween event featuring a hay bale maze, one-of-a-kind animal encounters, character parades, and trick-or-treat candy stations”. Guests will also enjoy special appearances by Count von Count, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and other popular characters in their Halloween costumes.

Each “Sesame Street Safari of Fun” weekend will have a different theme, with “The Count Weekend” kicking off the festivities on October 22 and 23 from 11am to 2pm, in which The Count will help you count your way through a “batty” Halloween maze.

“Monsters & Fairies Weekend” will follow on October 29 and 30 from 11am to 2pm, with highlights featuring Halloween-themed arts and crafts to transform the kids into a magical fairy like Abby Cadabby or a loveable monster like Elmo.

Not only that but there will be character parades to look forward to at the top of every hour during the events. Kid-friendly music will be played and guests will have the chance to meet with Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s animal ambassadors.
