What about scratch-made dough and artisanal toppings – as well as two blazing hot ovens that turn out thin-crisp pies in 180 seconds — doesn’t make you want to run out to Disney Springs and shove a personal pizza in your face? Well Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, the newest fast-casual restaurant in Town Center in Disney Springs has arrived to make our ovens-a-blazing!

Disney Parks Blog reports that the menu centers around custom-built pizzas (you pick the toppings) all for one price, with an interactive assembly line that lets you customize a pizza (or pick one of their Signature Pizzas). The 11-inch pizzas go into the blazing hot, open-flame oven and emerge with a light-as-air, crisp crust. Is your stomach growling yet?

The spacious, 5,000-square-foot eatery features two open hearth ovens and seating for 200 (and accepts the Disney Dining Plan). Blaze Pizza was designed as part of the Disney Springs architecture to resemble an 1850s-era sawmill that’s been contemporized, and uses single-species wood in the open kitchen and ordering area, including lumber milled from a Cypress log felled more than 200 years ago and reclaimed from Florida’s Apalachicola River. A large covered patio with seating cantilevers over the waterfront.

It’s also worth noting that all dough is made in-house, and pizza and salad ingredients are free from artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Gluten-free dough and vegan cheese are offered for those on special diets, and you can even create your favorite pizzas or stick with a classic — DPB recommends the Red Vine with Ovalini mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan, basil, red sauce and olive oil drizzle. For the greener types, salads range from a classic Caesar to kale, quinoa and cranberries. It goes without saying — this is not your average, run-of-the-mill pizza experience.
