A new family water raft ride will open at Typhoon Lagoon water park in 2017 according to Orlando Sentinel. We previously reported that plans seemed to be on the way for a new water ride.

The new ride will be called ‘Miss Fortune Falls’ and will be located near the park’s existing Crush ‘n’ Gusher. The raft ride will be one of the longest rides at the Disney water parks and will be a fun two-minute ride.

The name for the new ride, ‘Miss Fortune Falls’, comes from the new character Capt. Mary Oceaneer and you will be able to see her spoils from treasure hunting all throughout the ride.

Vice President of the water parks Faron Kelley had this to say about the new exciting addition to Typhoon Lagoon:

“We’re thrilled to add to our menu of great guest experiences at Disney’s Water Parks with Miss Fortune Falls. We believe this new attraction will quickly become a favorite with our guests, who are always looking for new ways to enjoy our parks.”

The ride is set to open Spring 2017.

Mary Oceaneer is already famous in S.E.A! She was one of Jock’s pals; she helped place the Oceaneer’s Lab on the Disney Magic.

  2. I think he s referring to the longest attraction at any Disney water park qualifier. Lazy rivers take more than 2 minutes.
