Justice League’s Aquaman Jason Momoa to star in ‘The Crow’ remake

In what may be one of my personal favorite casting choices of the last decade, Mashable has just reported that Jason Momoa, best known for his roles on Game of Thrones and as DC’s Aquaman, is set to play the lead in the remake of the 90’s cult classic The Crow.

Talks about this reboot have been going on for years now, and doing it right means honoring the late, great Brandon Lee’s portrayal of the dark hero who was brought back to (super-gothy) life to take down the men who wronged him. The original 1994 movie was based on a comic book of the same name, and spawned numerous sequels — of varying quality.

The speculation began with an Instagram post featuring Momoa and director Corin Hardy:

We’ll have more on the film as it develops, but for now, holy god this is awesome. Stick with ITM for the latest and greatest entertainment news!
