Late Friday evening Disney gave us some Marvel news that may come as a surprise to many fans. Disney had previously announced that next up in the Marvel Avengers series would be ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 2’. Now it seems like the head honchos have changed their minds and the next Avengers movie will just be called ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and the movie that was supposed to be part two will now get a whole different title according to EW.

The Russo brothers, who have been in charge of many creative masterpieces at Marvel like ‘Captain America Civil War’, had this to say about the switch up back in May:

“The intention is we will change it, we just haven’t come up with the titles yet. But, yes, we will change it. The movies are two very different movies.”

No word yet on what story changes this may affect or what kind of Avengers we will get to see in the now titled project ‘Avengers: Untitled’.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is still scheduled for May 4, 2018, while the untitled Avengers 4 movie will open May 3, 2019.
