While Frozen didn’t actually take place in Norway, there’s no denying that Norwegian culture and storytelling of Disney’s recent classic.
This week marks the first Norwegian fjords voyage of Disney Cruise Line’s summer excursions, and Disney Parks Blog reports that guests will now have the opportunity to visit a storybook village to meet Anna, Elsa and Kristoff on a Port Adventure in Ålesund, Norway. How cool is that?!
The Sunnmøre Museum includes a replicated village with buildings dating to the 11th century, so guests will feel like they’ve traveled back in time. You will have the opportunity to explore authentic Nordic homes, play old-fashioned games, taste Norwegian specialties such as svelle (a sweet pancake), and lose yourself in live musical performances.
But the fun doesn’t end there. After spending some time in the village, guests will be invited to a celebration where they will witness the arrival of Anna, Elsa and Kristoff — straight from the Kingdom of Arendelle. The characters will be available to sign autographs and pose for photographs, combining your sense of exploration and adventure with pure, unbridled Disney magic!
