As we covered here last week, the brand new stage musical “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” held its World Premiere at Disney California Adventure this past Thursday, and its first open-to-the-public performances happened on Friday.

Now let’s take a look behind the scenes of the production, in several backstage interviews with members of the show’s creative team, including the puppet master, the technical director, and the costumer. In these videos we get an up close and personal meeting with the amazingly lifelike Sven puppet, get a taste of how projection effects help bring the world of Arendelle to life, and check out the intricately detailed costumes that “Frozen” performers wear on stage.

Now that “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” has been operating for a full weekend, audiences are getting a better taste of how the musical will perform in the long-run, and hopefully the minor technical kinks have been ironed out by this point.

WATCH THE FIRST FULL PUBLIC PERFORMANCE:

Is “Frozen” here to stay at Disney California Adventure? Will the show have as long and successful a run as its predecessor, the much-beloved “Aladdin: a Musical Spectacular”? Only time will tell.
