Last week I had the amazing opportunity to attend the unveiling ceremony for the original “A” car DeLorean time machine from “Back to the Future” at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

This weekend the museum hosted a second event in celebration of the DeLorean’s arrival: a “Back to the Future”-themed Enchantment Under the Sea dance, complete with a terrific performance by the BTTF/1980s tribute band The Flux Capacitors.

The Flux Capacitors rocked out with pretty much every recognizable song from the first “Back to the Future” movie, along with a slew of 80s pop classics. Plus, attendees were able to take an up-close-and-personal look at the DeLorean itself, which was on display in the hall with its gull-wing doors fully open, allowing a view at the time circuits and other interior details like, of course, the actual Flux Capacitor.

It was an incredibly fun event tailor-made for “Back to the Future” fans, and a wonderful way to welcome the original DeLorean to its new home in style.
