Who’s ready for a second romp in the jungle?!

Hollywood Reporter just…erm…reported that, days before the studio opens its live-action take on The Jungle Book, Disney is already finalizing ideas for a sequel. On top of that, Jon Favreau and Justin Marks are in negotiations to return in their roles (writing/directing) for a the potential sequel. Favreau also will produce, as he should.

It’s worth wondering if this announcement is a direct reaction to Warner Brothers announcing that their version of the classic tale, Jungle Book: Origins, is still in the works. There’s no way of knowing, but the timing is certainly interesting.

Most of you probably already know, but The Jungle Book centers around a young boy who lives in the jungle amongst a slew of animals. The film’s voice cast includes Bill Murray as Baloo the bear, Ben Kingsley as Begheera the panther, Scarlet Johansson as Kaa the serpent and Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha the mother wolf. The film touches down on April 15th, 2016!
