FIRST LOOK: Neil Patrick Harris looks perfect as Count Olaf in “A Series of Unfortunate Events”

2014 brought the announcement that none other than Neil Patrick Harris would be taking up the sinister role of Count Olaf in the Netflix revival of A Series of Unfortunate Events. Now, we finally have an up-close look at the incredible makeup job for the character — and it’s absolutely perfect.

Oh my god.

Seriously, I’m freaking out…and fans of the books should be too. Even Jim Carrey’s version didn’t look this astoundingly accurate.

Now I’m even more hyped for A Series of Unfortunate Events, as it’s set to hit Netflix some time later this year. In the meantime, what do you think? Is it perfect? Is it a flop? Sound off in the comments below!

    I love it. It does look pretty accurate, especially to the book’s illustrations. Now, can Harris pull it off? I still think Jim Carrey did a terrific job. That film from 2004 is one of my favorites. Still, from afar, Harris does look like Carrey.
