Do you think you have what it takes to make the next classic Star Wars movie?

J.J. Abrams seems to think so! So much so, in fact, that he just announced the 2016 Star Wars Fan Film Awards. In this contest, Lucasfilm once again challenges young filmmakers to try their hand at creating their own dream fan film taking place in a galaxy far far away. The winner will receive a commemorative trophy, limited edition signed Star Wars concept art, Star Wars merchandise and, of course, bragging rights for life.

Categories include Best Comedy, Best Animation, Best Non-Fiction, Best Visual Effects, Spirit of Fandom and Audience Choice, with winners being announced during Star Wars Celebration 2016, which will be held at the Excel London Exhibition Centre July 15 through 17. The Star Wars Fan Film Awards we’re originally started by Lucasfilm back in 2002 and was canceled in 2012. The contest was then reborn in 2014.

More information can be found on the official Star Wars Fan Film Awards portal, and submissions are open until Apr. 24. So grab that camera, and go make history!
