Philly is about to get a lot more animated!

On March 12, the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia will be opening a six month exhibition pulling back the curtain on the incredible and fascinating world of Pixar. At The Science Behind Pixar, guests will be able to see massive recreations of Pixar film characters like Mike and Sully, Wall-E, and Buzz Lightyear, along with 48 interactive displays. These will range from detailed engineering to mathematical concepts, as well as the spectacular science behind creating some of the most classic and iconic films in cinematic history. The exhibition made its world debut at Boston’s Museum of Science on June 28, 2015.

Sounds pretty great, right?

There also be a plethora of hands-on learning experiences that include immersive set designs, modeling activities, and animation opportunities. This will be a great opportunity for anybody who’s ever wanted a first-hand experience on what it’s like to transform concepts into reality!

Tickets for The Science Behind Pixar are already available for purchase online and exhibition ticket prices vary. Tickets start at $7.95 for a child member (3-11 years old) and range up to $29.95 for adult general admission — this also includes admission to the entire museum.
