Mardis Gras is right around the corner (Tuesday, February 9th) and the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort has the perfect celebration lined up for the festive holiday.

Specifically, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen and House of Blues Anaheim have come up with special menus and musical performances to help make this a memorable Mardi Gras for the whole family!

According to the Disney Parks Blog announcement, the specialty Mardi Gras menu at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen features “such specialties as traditional gumbo, red beans and rice, Creole jambalaya, BBQ shrimp and grits and the famous beignets.” The restaurant will also feature live music from 6:00-10:00 PM on both floors and a Mardi Gras costume contest at 8:00 PM, with free beads for kids and “Bourbon Street specials” at the bar.

The House of Blues has a family-friendly tribute-band evening lineup planned, including a U2 cover band called L.A. Vation and a The Who cover band called The Who Generation. Additionally, the venue will feature special New Orleans-themed menu items.

Downtown Disney certainly seems to be the perfect place to bring your family for an accessible, not-too-rowdy Mardis Gras celebration that everyone can enjoy.
