The official Shanghai Disneyland Resort site has been update today with new information on ticket availability for the park, which is scheduled to open June 16, 2016.

General admission tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 28 and will be offered at both regular (¥370/$56) and peak-priced (¥499/$75) values. The two-week Grand Opening period between June 16-30 will also be priced at ¥499. Children, seniors and guests with disabilities will be eligible for a 25% discount and a two-day pass includes a 5% discount. Infants will be able to enter the park for free.

As Shanghaiist.com points out, this makes Shanghai Disneyland the most affordable of all the Disney parks worldwide, edging out Tokyo Disneyland (¥374) and lower than Hong Kong Disneyland (HK$539/$69).

To ensure guests are purchasing official tickets to the park, Shanghai Disneyland is encouraging buyers to choose from these options:

  • The newly updated website of Shanghai Disney Resort, www.shanghaidisneyresort.com
  • The Shanghai Disney Resort Reservation Center at 400-180-0000 or 86-21-31580000
  • Our official travel partners. A listing of official travel partners can be found at www.shanghaidisneyresort.com.

Guests will only be permitted a maximum of five park tickets per purchase. All tickets sold are date specific.

Though no admission tickets are required for guests visiting Wishing Star Park or Disneytown, a separate ticket will be required to attend The Lion King production at the Walt Disney Grand Theatre in Disneytown. Tickets for the show as well as resort hotel room reservations will also be available on March 28. Pricing and room rates will be available at that time.
