SeaWorld reveals details of new pricing structure

SeaWorld Entertainment has started a new pricing system for 2016. When executives spoke with investors last year, it was announced that the company would simplify its pricing structure, for multiple reasons, including competing with Disney and Universal.

“We had some confusion out there because we had so many offers, we needed to be much simpler,” Chief Executive Officer Joel Manby told investors in November, according to the Orlando Sentinel. “We also didn’t have much of a ‘buy early and save’ mentality, and we want to do some specific things there.”

SeaWorld is now offering $79 online tickets that visitors can use any day of the week. SeaWorld’s one-day price at the gate will remain $99.

Another deal SeaWorld is offering is available online. When visitors purchase their tickets to SeaWorld online, they can choose to pay an extra $20 and receive entrance to two of the company’s theme parks, like Busch Gardens in Tampa.

For SeaWorld’s annual pass holders, the cost has increased from $13 a month, to $14 a month, totaling $168 annually. Pass holders will also receive a new reward each month, including discounts, ticket offers, and free gifts.

SeaWorld Orlando will offer free admission to kids ages 5 and younger through Dec. 31. SeaWorld’s preschool cards must be registered online and redeemed in the park by May 27.
