It’s going to be a big year for Universal Studios Hollywood. In just a few months, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be making its debut in the Los Angeles-based park, finally catching up to the 2010 opening of the area of the same name at its Orlando counterpart.

To meet the anticipated demand for the new area (which is likely to be huge,) Universal has built a tremendous new 8-story 5,000-spot parking structure on the site of its former E.T. parking lot, at the tail end of the CityWalk shopping district. The structure has retained the theme of its prior namesake and incorporated imagery from the ever-popular 1982 Steven Spielberg sci-fi family movie.

WATCH:

It’s strange to see such a large parking structure completely empty like this, especially knowing the madness to come once the second week of April arrives. Will you be among the hundreds of thousands to park in this structure this summer? Exciting times are surely ahead for Universal Hollywood.
