Welcome back to another Disney Tidbits! Follow us along while we take a trip around the parks, checking out what is new and happening.
This past weekend we visited Epcot and winter has arrived to Orlando as it was a cold and grey day. Feels rare to see the Epcot entrance without any extra signage or topiaries.
Even though it was 2:00pm, Spaceship Earth only had a 5 minute wait.
Inside Art of Disney, we found these new Disney Princess notebooks sets for only $30.
We also spotted tons of Haunted Mansion collectibles.
Slow season has truly arrived. It’s been a long time since we have seen Epcot this empty on a weekend.
Soarin’ is now down during its makeover into Soarin’ Around the World. The Epcot guide points out it will open again Summer 2016. You can read more about the new ride HERE
Signage outside of the Land pavilion warning guests that the attraction is down.
The Land pavilion and Sunshine Season feels eerily empty now.
Plenty of cast members stationed outside the ride informing guest that it will open again this summer.
The Living with the Land attraction is suffering with Soarin closed and sported no wait at all.
Right outside the Land pavilion there is now a cart serving fruit and vegetable platters.
Epcot’s Starbucks still has the mini mug ornaments in stock.
A quick check into Mouse Gear revealed that a big part of the store has now been transformed into a Star Wars merchandise land.
Valentine’s Day is not too far ahead and lots of pink merchandise has started showing up like a limited edition MagicBand and Star Wars pins.
Test Track will clearly show an increase in guests now that Soarin’ is down but on this day we only saw a 30 minute wait.
Again, look at the emptiness. You can actually see the pathway.
In Norway, the construction on the new Frozen attractions keeps on moving. The restrooms have now closed in this location and your next restroom stop will not be until Germany. Read more about the new Frozen attractions HERE.
New Disney-themed Norway merchandise has arrived.
In China, some exterior work is being done on their theater.
The Karamel Kuche shop in Germany frequently switches up their treats. This day they had a pumpkin caramel as their special.
A lovely cheese platter is offered in the Germany wine cellar.
Tons of sparkly Disney figurines can be found in the Germany pavilion too.
The Italy pavilion had also received some new Disney themed tees.
In America, Christmas was still in full swing.
We made a quick stop into the Kawaii exhibit in the Japan pavilion to check out the only Gelatoni you can find on Walt Disney World property. Gelatoni is Duffy’s friend and is very popular in Tokyo Disneyland.
Inside the shop in Japan you can find Florida themed Hello Kitty merchandise.
And that is it from our evening spent at Epcot. We don’t have to wait long until the next special event starts at Epcot, the Flower and Garden Festival.
Make sure to come back again for even more visits to the Disney Parks in the future.
