There’s just 16 days until the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”! Now for some of you, you have been planning your month around this date… But for others just now hopping on the bandwagon, here is a post that will include some need-to-knows before the highly anticipated day!

New to the world of Star Wars but still really excited about Star Wars: Episode VII? Here is the YouTube video you need to watch!

In this video, all six of the previous Star Wars films have been compressed into three minutes! Starting with The Phantom Menace and ending with Return of the Jedi, these three minutes will introduce you to characters and basic lines you need to know!

The first movie release of the Star Wars film saga was on May 25, 1977. Almost 40 years later, Star Wars fans young and old are eagerly awaiting the seventh installment of the series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is set to be released December 18.

Are you located in the midwest? The Alamo Drafthouse cinema chain has opened a “Star Wars”-themed movie theater in Omaha, Nebraska. Featuring designs like a 10-foot Death Star hanging in the lobby and the emperor’s chair, this movie theater is sure to draw Star Wars fans from all over.

If you consider yourself a Star Wars collector, Japanese designer, NIGO, is holding an online auction that will feature hundreds of rare collectibles. With prices ranging from $100 – $35,000, this auction is sure to be a hit.

The items will be offered Dec. 11 at: Sothebys.com/starwarsauction and eBay.com/Sothebys.

Items like a Luke Skywalker figurine with a double telescoping lightsaber and very rare “Power of the Force” coin sets have estimates from $12,000 – $35,000 for those looking to spend a bit more cash!

Lastly, new images from the film have been released by Lucasfilm in a recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine.

Images include the cover with the core cast, as well as a look at Darth Vader’s helmet, and new images of Rey.
