Disney Cruise Line held a sneak preview of the new “Tangled: The Musical” aboard the Disney Magic on Wednesday in Miami to a rousing ovation at the conclusion of the nearly one-hour long performance.

In addition to a stellar cast mixed with outstanding set and costume design was the addition of three new songs penned by none other than Alan Menken.

The opening number with Flynn Rider in the lead is the first of the new songs. “Flower of Gold” takes place primarily in the Treasure Room of the Royal Palace and manages to summarize the opening events of the original film in a neat manner while making the most of the relatively-compact stage.

After a pair of already-classic songs “When Will My Life Begin?” and “Mother Knows Best”, Scene 3 opens with the humorous “Wanted Man” that helps flesh out Flynn’s character, at least with regards to his reputation around town.

“When She Returns” opens Scene 8 in grand fashion with Rapunzel, Flynn and the townsfolk.

“Tangled: The Musical” will be presented exclusively aboard the Disney Magic beginning Nov. 14. Inside the Magic will have more coverage of the event coming up.
