Just in time for the holiday season, take a frightfully fun trip to Halloween Town with the new “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Munchkin game from USAopoly.

In this delightful twist to the popular Munchkin line of games, this new edition is packed with lots of fun for any fan (or citizen) of Halloween Town.

Housed in a custom box, the game comes with 168 elaborately detailed cards (96 Door cards, 72 Treasure cards) as well as a custom Oogie Boogie movie replica die and complete instructions that are well-written with a nice dash of humor and artwork. You can even mix and match cards from other Munchkin editions for near limitless combinations of gameplay.

The Oogie Boogie custom six-sided die is the highlight of the set and is faithfully recreated from the movie, though the need to find 10 tokens elsewhere to use for each player represents a lost opportunity to include another movie tie-in (we simply used pieces from a checkerboard game set but coins will do easily).

Each card holds either Curses, Citizenship, Rides, Monsters or Treasure that will either help you advance in the game or set you back. Use these cards to play as a citizen from Halloween Town, Christmas Town, Thanksgiving Town or Easter Town and battle many familiar foes that inhabit the surroundings.

The game is recommended for ages 10+, but younger children who are fans of the movie will still have fun looking through the expertly rendered cards and they can be guided along through the game with the help of an older sibling or parent. It takes about 1-2 hours to play and is for 3-6 players so it’s perfect to play along with the family or your ghoulish pals.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas” edition of Steve Jackson’s Munchkin card game is available now at Amazon and your local game store.
