When the D23 Expo 2015 in Anaheim kicked off early Friday morning Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter was on hand to give some plot point reveals about the next Toy Story movie “Toy Story 4”.

Our next visit with the loveable toys from Pixar’s Toy Story will not happen until June 16, 2017 when “Toy Story 4” premieres in theaters but thanks to Lasseter we now know that the movie will be a love story between the rugged cowboy Woody and the petite Bo Peep.

According to CNBC interview with Lasseter:

“It’s a love story with Woody and—and this is news—Bo Peep,” said Lasseter. “At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that’s as good or better than the original. That’s our rule. We don’t do things just to print money.”

Both Bo Peep and Woody made their movie debuts in the first Toy Story movie that came out in 1995 but Bo Peep was mysteriously absent from “Toy Story 3” so it will be interesting to see how the Pixar team decides bring her back.
