It’s the most wonderful time of the year at the Disneyland Resort once again! And while you may be distracted by beloved holiday festivities like A Christmas Fantasy Parade or the snowy lights on Sleeping Beauty Castle, you’d best save room for something even more enticing.

During the wintertime, the Disneyland Resort whips out some amazing treats to get you in the spirit of the season, and this year is no exception:

1. Frozen Flavors

Frozen fever has been in full swing the past year, and the folks at the Disney Parks have taken notice. While you may not be able to build a snowman in Southern California this Christmas, you can certainly eat one!

Disneyland’s Candy Palace and California Adventure’s Trolley Treats play host to some amazing Olaf-themed desserts, including an Olaf apple, Olaf marshmallow wand and Olaf cake pop.

2. Savory Foods

When you’re not busy feasting on Frozen-themed delicacies, you may decide to start looking for something more substantial to tide you over. One of the great offerings at California Adventure is the variety of sourdough breads, baked in all sorts of specialty holiday shapes.

Drop by the Pacific Wharf Café or the Boudin Bread Cart outside and you will find an assortment of breads, ranging from Candy Cane to Snowman to Christmas Tree shapes. Eat them on the go or take them home with you, the choice is yours!

3. Wintry Treats

If you find yourself in New Orleans Square this winter, make sure to try the Gingerbread Beignets at Cafe Orleans. The spiced powdered sugar that tops these pastries is unbelievably addictive, and will definitely have you begging for more.

However if gingerbread isn’t really your thing, the Christmas-themed treats around the park also include a dark chocolate and peppermint oil infused gourmet apple, as well as peppermint bark and the beloved hand-crafted candy canes found at Candy Palace and Trolley Treats.

If you plan on getting one of the behemoth candy canes, make sure to show up early and to set your eyes on the prize. They get snapped up quickly and they’re only available on select dates!

4. Ethnic Twists

For a little bit of a different flavor at the Disney Parks this Christmas season, check out the authentic Latino foods at California Adventure’s Paradise Garden Grill. The ¡Viva Navidad! celebration offers a menu featuring everything from Chicken Mole to Sopes de Barbacoa, and for vegetarians, the Street Style Tacos come with a tasty and convincing meat-like soy option.

If a holiday tamale is more to your taste, Disneyland’s Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante has you covered as well.

5. Specialty Snacks

If you feel like trying something truly unique, try your artistic hand at Mrs. Claus’ Tasty Treats Cookie Decorating station at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Disneyland. For $6, you get a selection of frosting and sprinkles to make a special design on your very own sugar cookie.

There is so much festive food to be had at Disneyland Resort during the holidays, it is hard to go wrong. So loosen that belt and eat a light breakfast as you prepare for a magical wintertime food experience when you visit!
