Tonight Disneyland hosted a special event for annual passholders whose passes are expiring between October 1, 2014 and the end of the year, enticing them to renew with a character party.

Taking place across the Disney California Adventure theme park, the event brought back familiar faces from the past and introduced one highly-anticipated one.

The event was called “Fall Back to Fun” and registration was required in advance in order to attend. Those who got in enjoyed an evening of rare characters that included Disney Afternoon stars Darkwing Duck, Launchpad McQuack, and Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers.

Thanks to Sarah Woloski (of Skywalking Through Neverland) and Ashley Mitchell for supplying us with photos and video!

A highlight of the evening was the first-ever appearance of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit at Disneyland, riding in a special cavalcade to Buena Vista Street. Starting September 14, Oswald will be meeting and greeting regularly there.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit shorts were being shown in the Muppet*Vision 3D theater as well, with passholders receiving popcorn.

Other characters making appearances included the Bowler Hat Guy, Louis, and Wilber from “Meet the Robinsons,” Remy from “Ratatouille,” Chicken Little, and Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz.

The World of Color fountains danced the night away as passholders were able to meet characters and mingle with each other until midnight.

Disneyland holds these renewal events occasionally and the best way to find out about them is to follow their AP Facebook and Twitter accounts.

While Oswald will become a Disney California Adventure regular soon, there’s no word as to whether the Disney Afternoon characters will continue appearances after tonight. Last year, Roger Rabbit made surprise appearances at the Toontown pre-party for Mickey’s Halloween Party. No such pre-party has been announced this year, but Roger did end up sticking around the park well past those parties so perhaps Darkwing, Launchpad, and more of the Disney Afternoon gang will soon be seen more often.

They should just come right out and admit it: Long-Lost Friends was the big hit of the Limited Time events last year. :)
(Of course, the big craze this year is “Exclusive events”.)

EricJ: COMPLETELY 100% agree. Long-Lost friends was H U G E … why darkwing, launchpad, and the other famed disney afternoon cartoons are not in the park more is baffling …
Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, Tale Spin, Gummie Bears, Darkwing Duck.. oh soo loved!

I wish that these characters could find a permanent home in DCA. They have that whole park to fill…have Oswald, Darkwing, etc. in there. They really should move the Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin over to DCA if ToonTown is going to be taken over by Star Wars as rumors suggest. Roger Rabbit would be such a great fit for DCA. Too bad Disney is too cheap to work with Spielberg on allowing Roger Rabbit to become more of a presence and mascot for DCA. Oswald makes a fun mascot though. DCA can kind of be an alternate universe Disneyland where Oswald is popular and the big face of things.

  3. This looks like a lot of fun, buy my question is, why are they holding special events to promote Annual Passholder renewals when they’re stopping sales on other Annual passes because the parks are so crowded?

  4. excellent publish, very informative. I’m wondering why
the other specialists of this sector do not realize this.

You should continue your writing. I am sure, you’ve a great readers’ base
    already!

  6. I don’t know whether it’s just me or if everybody else
encountering issues with your site. It appears like some of the written text within your content are running off the
screen. Can someone else please comment and let
me know if this is happening to them as well?

This could be a problem with my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
    Thank you

  8. Ask for sedan rate instead of stretch limos they
are pretty nice and comfortable. Since you already finished your plans for your event and know the amount of time that you’re going to need the limousine, you can start looking at different limousine service companies in your area.
Once you’ve made sure that your limousine is reserved, relax.

  10. I think everything said was actually very logical. However, what about this?

suppose you wrote a catchier title? I mean, I
don’t wish to tell you how to run your website, but what if you
added something that grabbed a person’s attention? I mean Oswald the Lucky Rabbit debuts at Disneyland annual passholder event with rare Disney Afternoon characters | Inside the Magic is kinda boring.
You should look at Yahoo’s front page and note how they create
article titles to grab people to click. You might add a related video or a
related picture or two to get readers excited about everything’ve written. Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little bit more interesting.

  11. Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up
what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any tips for inexperienced blog writers?

    I’d certainly appreciate it.

Direct mail marketing is no different in that regard. Note that the
white edge is part of the QR code, it is actually black patterns
on a white box, so make sure you get it all.
