Disney has announced this fall fans will be able to meet and greet with characters from “Big Hero 6” at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Both Hiro and Baymax will appear in the parks, though details of where and when have yet to be revealed.
Though Disneyland has featured Marvel characters including Captain America and Thor, this will be the first Marvel meet-and-greet for Walt Disney World.
A pre-existing contract between Marvel and Universal Orlando prevents Disney from utilizing many of the classic Marvel characters at Walt Disney World. But since the characters of “Big Hero 6” were never seen at Universal’s parks, they fall outside the legal restrictions. (The same is true for “Guardians of the Galaxy,” should Disney decide to add that hot property to the parks.)
“Big Hero 6” hits theaters on November 7, 2014.
