Today the Disneyland Resort has announced a major update to the popular “World of Color” nighttime show at Disney California Adventure entirely themed to the Christmas season.

Beginning November 15, 2013, World of Color will feature the new character Olaf from the upcoming Disney film “Frozen” taking guests on a trip through a winter wonderland of holiday entertainment, dubbed “Winter Dreams.”

Steve Davison, vice president of Parades and Spectaculars, Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment, explains the new version in the video below.

“I am so excited to be bringing new magic to ‘World of Color’ this holiday season,” said Davison. “The brand-new show is filled with great music, new effects and, of course, all the magnificence of the ‘World of Color’ fountain and projection system. It’s going to be a very powerful and amazing experience for guests of all ages.”

Classic winter scenes will include beloved Disney films as “Bambi,” “Fantasia” and “Toy Story” along with new special effects.

I’m really curious as to what films will be incorporated into the movie. There isn’t exactly a plethora of winter based movies to choose from. It will be really interesting to see how it turns out.

Can’t wait for the new show, or for “Frozen”.

@0:26 “All that share the magic of winter?” … Seriously Steve? … “Winter Dreams?” … Could we try and be any more pathetically PC? It’s the CHRISTMAS season folks. Learn to deal with it. Regardless of your religious affiliation or lack thereof, it’s still called Christmas. It’s decisions like this, which decide to cater to the demands of the few, that in return, completely turnoff the full enjoyment of the majority of the population. Truly a sad day in which we live. Epic fail Disney, epic fail.

Honestly, DBrown. We also have celebrations of Hanukkah and Kwanzaa during that period.

Is this why there are no world of color showings listed in October 2013 daily schedule at Ca Advt?
