Disney at San Diego Comic-Con 2013: Schedule of panels includes Disney Afternoon, Marvel, and more

In less than two weeks, tens of thousands of die-hard fans will storm the bayside convention center for San Diego Comic-Con 2013. While many will flock to always-popular panels from TV shows Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, and True Blood plus a first-time appearance from The Hunger Games and even a 20th anniversary reunion of The X-Files, those looking for Disney’s presence at this year’s show will find less than last year.

As Disney plans their own show, the D23 Expo in August, their lineup of panels and presentations at SDCC this year is trimmed down, though they still manage to assemble a smaller, but still truly exciting schedule.

Among the highlights are a first look at ABC’s upcoming Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show from Joss Whedon, Marvel’s big Hall H panel featuring Thor 2 and Captain America 2 and a pair of blasts from the past with Capcom presenting DuckTales: Remastered and 25th anniversary panels for Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the Disney Afternoon. Disney Channel will also host several presentations.

Pulling it all together, below is our schedule of Disney related panels and presentations at San Diego Comic-Con 2013, including animation, ABC, Marvel, and a hint of Star Wars:

Disney Interactive will have a Disney Infinity tour stop down the street in the Gaslamp District as part of their multi-city “Summer of Endless Fun” including game demos, surprise guests, photo opportunities, giveaways, contests, entertainment provided by Radio Disney’s Ernie D. (343 4th Avenue (between J & K streets), San Diego, CA 92101, Friday and Saturday, July 19-20, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.). D23 members will get early access on on Thursday, July 18 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

We will be at all 4.5 days of San Diego Comic-Con so be sure to follow along July 17-21 as we post live from the event followed by a complete wrap-up afterward!
