“True Love” week to plus Valentine’s Day with Princes, Princesses in Limited Time Magic at Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Couples visiting Walt Disney World and Disneyland during the week of Valentine’s Day will find that love is in the air as both resorts celebrate the romantic holiday in “True Love” week from February 11-17, 2013, part of Limited Time Magic.

The offerings on both coasts will be similar, but not identical, with a variety of special meet-and-greets, dinners, merchandise, and other photo opportunities.  Banners at Walt Disney World will read “True Love” while at Disneyland they’ll proclaim “True Love Conquers All.”  Both Cinderella Castle and Sleeping Beauty Castle will be adorned in shades of pink and red with lighting and/or projections.  Limited-edition pins, plush, newly-designed apparel and Vinylmations will also be available at select merchandise locations at both resorts.

Disneyland

At Disneyland, the Royal Walk in Fantasyland will feature Princes alongside their Princesses as well as Naveen joining Tiana in New Orleans Square. And in Town Square, Minnie will join Mickey as well as Daisy joining Donald. Plus the “Wandering Wallflowers,” will be around the park in search of “true love.”

Romantic dinners for two with prix fixe menus will be offered at select restaurants during the most romantic week of the year. Specially-created menus at Blue Bayou and Café Orleans in Disneyland, Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure Park, Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel or Napa Rose in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel make ideal choices for a romantic evening. Chefs have also prepared a specially themed Valentine’s dessert: a chocolate cupcake with raspberry mousse filling and dark chocolate mousse frosting. It will be available at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café in Disneyland, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café and Pacific Wharf Café in Disney California Adventure, and Disneyland Hotel Coffee House.

And the classic Disneyland ear hat gets makeover for the romantic holiday.

Walt Disney World

Special meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World will add Disney Princeses to the usual line-up of Princesses. Flynn Ryder will join Rapunzel, Prince Phillip with Aurora, Bert with Mary Poppins, Naveen with Tiana, and Minnie with Mickey. Plus Cinderella’s Glass Coach will be situated in Fantasyland for picture taking.

Candlelit dinners for two with prix fixe menus at select restaurants during the most romantic week of the year.
