‘Long Lost Friends’ return to Walt Disney World for Limited Time Magic, with Ludwig Von Drake, Robin Hood & more rare meets

Walt Disney World debuted its most highly-anticipated Limited Time Magic offering so far this year: Long Lost Friends Week. An assortment of “rare” characters are appearing throughout the day at the Magic Kingdom, today through January 27, in Town Square at the front of the park, offering guests to snap a photo with familiar faces that don’t regularly appear.

The characters rotate out in 30-minute shifts, carrying flags with their names as they enter, for those who aren’t familiar with them. A main sign shows which characters are currently meeting guests.

These “long lost” characters are taking pictures in groups with guests, but not signing autographs, instead handing out Limited Time Magic autograph cards featuring all the signatures on the back.

The characters available to meet this week are:

Scrooge McDuck and Ludwig Von Drake

The two ducks are identified as being from the old “DuckTales” TV show. Scrooge McDuck was certainly a main character of that show, but Ludwig Von Drake was only in a single episode, playing Launchpad McQuack’s psychiatrist.

Robin Hood, Prince John, Sheriff of Nottingham, and Friar Tuck

The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf

Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar

Pinocchio, Geppetto, and Jiminy Cricket

Long Lost Friends Week continues daily through January 27, from 9am until 4pm, in 30 minute shifts on and off. Guests have reportedly waited 30-60 minutes for characters today, but lines should decrease after the holiday weekend ends.

Limited Time Magic continues throughout 2013 with the possibility of more rare characters to return in a future Long Lost Friends Week. Who would you like to see? (I’m hoping for Darkwing Duck!)
