The Force was strong in Orlando over the past four days as Star Wars Celebration VI drew tens of thousands of fans of the intergalactic franchise together. From August 23-26, 2012, Lucasfilm brought the excitement of the “Star Wars” universe to the Orange County Convention Center for the second official event in a row, following the hugely successful Celebration V in 2010.
Though the massive event featured interesting and exciting exhibits, unforgettable panels, and countless celebrities, the most unique part of Celebration VI was offered by attendees themselves, many showing up (and showing off) in impressive costumes.
From Darth Vaders to Jedis to a wide variety of unusual Stormtroopers, Star Wars Celebration VI was packed with eye-catching outfits, the most creative of which were captured by our cameras. The videos below offer highlights of cosplay found throughout the event, one an overview and the other focusing on one of the most attention grabbing occurrences at every major convention, a gathering of Slave Leias.

The photos below are some of the most attention-grabbing and favorite costumes I photographed amidst the hundreds of pictures I took throughout Star Wars Celebration VI, full slideshows of which can be found at the bottom of this post.
Come back for more from Star Wars Celebration VI in the coming days, including a closer look at the exhibits on the show floor and one particular bizarre interactive experience offered to fans.
