Walt Disney World has announced reservations the highly anticipated Be Our Guest restaurant will open on August 20, 2012 at 7 a.m. ET. The first date that will be available for dinner reservations will be November 19, 2012, the same day “previews” begin for the majority of the New Fantasyland expansion at the Magic Kingdom.
Reservations will be available starting Monday by calling 407-WDW-DINE (3463), visiting Guest Relations theme park locations, Guest Services desks at Walt Disney World hotels. Online reservations, however, won’t be available until August 22, at www.disneyworld.com/dine. A credit card will be needed to hold the reservation.
Though Disney won’t be holding a grand opening for New Fantasyland until December 6, 2012, the announced November 19 preview date will offer all Magic Kingdom guests a chance to explore the majority of the park’s expansion, also including The Little Mermaid ride, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and Gaston’s Tavern.
Dinner at Be Our Guest will use one table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan while lunch will use one quick service credit. The restaurant does not feature character dining. It does, however, contain three separate highly-decorated wings in which patrons may dine, all inspired by locations within Beast’s castle as seen in the “Beauty and the Beast” animated film. Guests can’t reserve a specific area but are free to stop by the restaurant before their reserved time to make such a request. Some seats will feature a fireworks view.
Lunch at Be Our Guest does not require reservations and will let guests order by kiosks or at a register, after which food will be served to tables.
The Be Our Guest menu features a variety of French-inspired food, a departure from the usual theme park eats.

I hear that Lumiere will not be in BOG. Kind of disappointing.
An advanced Audio-Animatronics figure of Lumiere will be in Enchanted Tales with Belle, along with a few other snazzy effects and characters. The restaurant will envelop guests in the setting of Beast’s Castle but not necessarily overwhelm with entertainment. There will be a Belle / Beast music box that plays renditions of “Beauty and the Beast” music while the characters spin.
I didn’t know there were real windows in the restaurant. Maybe I’m just thinking of the main ballroom.
Have they announced the preview date for passholders yet? Will it be before November 19th?
No, details for passholder previews have not yet been released.
Does anyome know what time quick service ends and table service begins?
