Where we’ll be at SDCC: Schedule to follow Inside the Magic for complete coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2012

in Disney, Entertainment, Events, Merchandise, Movies

Sifting through the extensive exhibitor list and always-overlapping programming schedule of San Diego Comic-Con is a daunting task, with more exciting entertainment offerings than one fanboy can handle. It is physically impossible for any single attendee to see everything that SDCC has to offer. When planning to attack this pop culture mega-event, it’s necessary to set priorities and backup plans, knowing in advance that no matter how little or how much is seen, there’s always a fun time to be had.

We’ll be covering this year’s San Diego Comic-Con throughout all four full days and on preview night, beginning tomorrow night, Wednesday, July 11, continuing through Sunday, July 15. We can’t be everywhere at once, so our priorities lie in anything Disney-related, from the big Walt Disney Studios Hall H presentation on Thursday to a preview of Disney Epic Mickey 2 on Sunday, and everything in between. But we can’t possibly visit SDCC and only cover Disney topics, as the convention offers so much more. While some of the topics we’ll be recapping in daily round-ups may be generally outside of the scope of our day-to-day coverage on Inside the Magic, we think you’ll still find them enjoyable, from one fanboy to another.

So follow along the schedule below live via Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube as we take you along for the ride. Then return here to our web site for further in-depth looks at the show floor, inside some of the biggest panel presentations, and access to celebrities and inside looks at ongoing projects via exclusive interviews and experiences we’ve set up. This list encompasses what we hope to experience, but with long lines and tens of thousands of fans also wanting to do the same, we make no San Diego Comic-Con guarantees.

  • Though fairly extensive, this schedule offers just a small sampling of what we intend to do and see throughout San Diego Comic-Con 2012. With plenty of entertainment spilling out beyond convention center walls and into the Gaslamp area of San Diego (Batmobiles, LEGO displays, cafes, walk-through experiences, photo ops), we won’t rest until we’ve crammed in every ounce of excitement we can handle in the 4.5 days we’ll be there. From autograph signings to swag giveaways, we’ll be wandering the show floor every chance we get between waiting in line for and attending panel discussions. The schedule is a guideline for our entertainment (and ultimately yours) but we’ll remain flexible and follow wherever the SDCC flow takes us.

So, again, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, and return here for daily photo wrap-ups and articles recapping the excitement of San Diego Comic-Con 2012! And keep coming back even after the convention ends for closer looks at much of what it has to offer.
