Amidst the exciting grand openings of Cars Land and Buena Vista street, Disney California Adventure also debuted a new daytime show today called “Instant Concert! …Just Add Water.” The show features Maestro Goofy, strolling out to Paradise Pier in a conductor’s outfit, ready to wave his baton to control the symphony of fountains across the lagoon normally used during the nighttime World of Color show.
“Instant Concert! …Just Add Water” takes cues from Goofy short films, with a throaty narrator introducing the playful character before he begins wildly and haphazardly twirling his baton wreaking havoc across the fountains.

The show is short, just 4 minutes in length, and is scheduled to more or less run hourly, a perfect length and frequency to inject a bit of humor and visual excitement into a walk around Paradise Bay and yet another interesting offering from the “new” Disney California Adventure theme park.

Can’t we just leave the bay alone during the day. Putting a daytime water show in just makes Paradise Pier feel less like a “seaside amusement park” and more like “some rides next to a fountain”.
Bring back the wave machine.
I like it! Can’t get enough of Goofy – one of my faves. I bet it’s a good way to cool off on hot days if you get a catch of some of the mist.
